Estimator / Junior Quantity Surveyor – Construction & Fit‑Out

About the role

This position is an office‑based Estimator / Junior Quantity Surveyor role supporting commercial and industrial fit‑out projects up to £3 million. You will join a small technical team, receive ongoing training and have clear pathways for career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities and take‑offs for commercial and industrial fit‑out projects.
• Support tendering and bid preparation, including subcontractor procurement.
• Assist with cost planning, pricing and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of NRM, SMM7 and industry standards.
• Contribute to profit‑related bonus calculations and project profitability analysis.

Required profile

• Previous experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying.
• Interest in a long‑term, full‑time career within the construction sector.
• Willingness to work Monday‑Friday, 8:15 am‑5:15 pm, based in Liverpool (commutable from surrounding areas).

Required skills

• Estimating and cost planning.
• Bills of quantities (BOQ) preparation.
• Take‑off and tendering.
• Procurement and subcontractor management.
• Knowledge of NRM and SMM7.
• Understanding of mechanical & electrical (M&E) and fit‑out specifications.
