Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join a busy construction business operating across Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire. You will work on a varied portfolio of projects ranging from heritage restorations to retail and industrial new builds, with values between £200K and £2.5M.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate, detailed cost estimates for new projects.
• Prepare and submit competitive tenders to secure new business.
• Monitor and manage project costs throughout the delivery phase.
• Work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining commercial focus.
• Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure cost‑effective solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience estimating within a contracting environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong time‑management, prioritisation and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and capability to present technical information clearly.
• Leadership qualities and self‑motivation to drive successful outcomes.
