Estimator – Residential Construction

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join a growing residential contractor in Letchworth. You will lead the estimating function for domestic refurbishment, extension and new‑build projects, working closely with the Director.
Key responsibilities
- Produce accurate cost estimates from detailed drawings for residential projects.
- Prepare and manage bills of quantities and tender enquiries.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors and monitor project costs and margins.
- Take ownership of projects from enquiry through to handover.
- Support the business’s growth by improving estimating processes.
Required profile
- Proven experience as an Estimator on domestic or residential construction.
- Self‑sufficient, personable approach with strong relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work independently and commute to the Letchworth office.
