Estimator / Surveyor – Scaffolding

About the role

We are seeking an organised, commercially‑minded Estimator to join our growing access‑solutions business in Preston. The role blends on‑site surveying with the preparation of accurate quotations and the development of strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customer sites to carry out detailed surveys and gather project requirements.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and site conditions to produce competitive cost estimates.
• Provide technical advice to clients and build long‑term relationships with new and existing customers.
• Prepare and submit accurate quotations, following up to support the sales process.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure proposed solutions are practical and deliverable.
• Maintain records in the company’s CRM and estimating systems.

Required profile

• Previous experience in estimating, surveying or technical sales within scaffolding, access solutions, construction or related temporary‑works sectors.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Confidence when visiting sites and discussing technical solutions.
• Full UK driving licence.
