EU VAT Manager – Tax Planning for Amazon Business

About the role

Amazon is looking for an EU VAT Manager to join its VAT advisory team and support Amazon Business. The role focuses on B2B EU VAT and invoicing, requiring deep knowledge of Amazon’s business model and end‑to‑end systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and communication of initiatives with VAT and tax dependencies.
• Identify and assess VAT‑related risks and opportunities, providing sound judgment for financial, operational and customer impact.
• Partner with finance, business and technology teams, preparing clear documentation for analyses and decisions.
• Communicate complex VAT regulations in practical terms to both tax and non‑tax stakeholders.
• Assist in engagements with external advisors and tax authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Experience in a large public accounting firm or a multinational corporate tax department.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong understanding of complex EU VAT regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
