EUD Engineer – End‑User Device Specialist

About the role

Join a mission‑driven team supporting Thames Valley Police by managing end‑user devices (EUDs). This temporary full‑time position is based in Kidlington with travel to other locations across the Thames Valley Police Force.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support for EUDs, meeting agreed Service Level Agreements.
• Maintain accurate EUD asset data in line with the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) policy.
• Oversee the complete device lifecycle—from evaluation and deployment to disposal—while prioritising supportability and cost‑effectiveness.
• Monitor EUD service delivery and contribute to improvement plans.
• Ensure all documentation complies with ITIL V3 standards and participate in Incident, Change, Problem, and Request management processes.
• Identify and implement service improvements and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Support EUD‑related projects and assist the SACM team with asset and licence management.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of ICT technology and its impact on policing and business objectives.
• Proven ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
• Relevant experience with a wide range of EUD technologies and support methods.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to simplify technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Flexible, adaptable team player who can work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various locations.
• Must have been continuously resident in the UK for a minimum of five years and will be subject to police vetting checks.
