Evening Caretaker (Part‑time)

About the role
We are seeking a part‑time Evening Caretaker to support the Site Manager at Buckingham Primary School. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe environment and securing the premises during the evening hours.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the cleaning team to ensure the school premises are tidy and safe.
- Oversee after‑school lettings and prepare spaces for external use.
- Secure the site at the end of each shift, including locking doors and setting alarms.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Site Manager.
Required profile
- Responsible, trustworthy and hardworking.
- Organised, able to work independently and take initiative.
- Flexible team player who can adapt to varying evening schedules.
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a school or college setting.
- Good communication skills.
Required skills
What we offer
- £10 per hour, part‑time permanent contract.
- 25.5 hours per week, typically 3:30 pm–9:00 pm, Monday‑Friday.
- Term‑time position with additional hours available during holidays.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
