Evening Customer Delivery Driver – New Milton

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will bring customers’ groceries straight to their doors during evening shifts. The role combines safe driving, customer interaction and a variety of physical tasks, ensuring each delivery is a positive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Load the van safely, perform pre‑trip checks and ensure the vehicle is road‑worthy.
• Communicate order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a friendly manner.
• Handle products with care, treating every order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s booked time slot, providing a warm, courteous service at the doorstep.

Required profile

• Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) held for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong relationships with colleagues.
• Friendly, welcoming attitude towards customers and team members.
• Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing customer needs.

• Starting pay £14.18 per hour (up to £15.45 in M25 stores).
• Minimum 16 hours per week (roles from 12 hours also available).
