Event Operations Manager – B2B Conferences

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager to own the end‑to‑end delivery of up to five international B2B conferences each year. The role combines strategic planning, supplier management and on‑site execution, with opportunities for travel across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of allocated events, from concept to post‑event analysis.
• Collaborate with the sales team to design profitable event packages and secure appropriate margins.
• Work with contracted suppliers to enhance the experience for commercial clients and attendees.
• Create and implement event signage, collateral and other materials.
• Develop staffing plans, arrange travel and accommodation, and allocate tasks to on‑site staff.
• Design floor plans, manage space requirements and use table‑planning software.
• Oversee on‑site delivery, including briefings, vendor coordination and customer journey management.
• Ensure risk, security and compliance standards are met through comprehensive risk assessments.
• Maintain event budgets, monitor costs and report financial performance.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering B2B conferences or expos of 300‑2000 attendees.
• Strong negotiation and contracting experience with venues and suppliers.
• White‑glove client service mindset and proactive problem‑solving.
• Experience managing compliance, risk policies and international event logistics.
• Confident decision‑making and ownership of results.
