Events Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Events Manager to join our team at Thornbury Castle Hotel, a restored Tudor castle offering 5‑star experiences. You will be the first point of contact for wedding and event enquiries, turning proposals into successful bookings while delivering memorable experiences for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily events diary and coordinate all hotel‑based weddings and functions.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, invoices and process payments.
• Produce accurate internal function sheets and ensure all customer needs are met.
• Greet function organisers and couples on the day of the event and oversee ceremony logistics.
• Promote the venue by attending wedding fairs, organising show‑rounds and internal events.
• Meet sales targets, KPIs and adhere to health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in hotel‑based wedding and events coordination.
• Sales‑driven with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with Opera or a similar property management system.
