Examinations Invigilator

About the role

We are seeking reliable individuals to join the Examinations Team at Barton Peveril Sixth Form College. The role involves supervising examinations on an ad‑hoc basis throughout the academic year, with the busiest periods between November‑January and April‑July.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise candidates during examinations, ensuring compliance with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) guidelines.
• Maintain the integrity of the exam process by monitoring for any irregularities.
• Manage and secure exam materials before, during and after each session.
• Report incidents or breaches promptly to the examinations officer.
• Attend mandatory yearly briefings, basic invigilator training and safeguarding training.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexible, part‑time hours as required by the exam timetable.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
• Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.
