Excavation Team Member

About the role

We are seeking motivated individuals to join a two‑person excavation team delivering groundworks and utility projects across England and Wales. The role involves operating hand tools and construction equipment on site while adhering to strict health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Work collaboratively as part of a two‑person excavation crew.
• Operate hand tools and construction equipment to carry out excavation, groundworks and utility tasks.
• Travel to various sites across England and Wales, complying with site‑specific health and safety requirements.
• Maintain and report on equipment and site conditions.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• CSCS card for both operatives.
• At least one team member holding an SSSTS qualification.
• Practical experience in excavation, groundworks, utilities or civil engineering.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Desirable: NPORS/CPCS plant tickets, SHEA (water, gas, electric or telecoms), Manual Handling Certificate, First Aid at Work.
