Executive Housekeeper I

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper I leads the daily housekeeping, recreation/health club and laundry operations at our property in Ware, Hertfordshire. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure guest rooms, public areas and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained and meet brand standards while supporting guest satisfaction and budget objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily housekeeping shift, including room assignments, cleaning schedules and inventory of supplies.
• Communicate room status to the Front Desk promptly and collaborate with Engineering for maintenance needs.
• Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, address deficiencies and enforce corrective actions.
• Manage departmental costs by monitoring expenses, ordering supplies and supporting budgetary targets.
• Handle guest complaints, promote exceptional service and empower staff to resolve issues.
• Participate in HR activities such as staffing, accident investigations and policy enforcement.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to lead a team.
• Understanding of budgeting, cost control and basic financial statements.
