About the role
Join a dedicated team supporting individuals in custody to rebuild confidence, develop skills and prepare for successful reintegration into the community. This permanent, full‑time position is based at HMP Channings Wood and offers the chance to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of participants from assessment through release planning.
- Deliver one‑to‑one and group interventions that motivate positive behavioural change.
- Facilitate access to housing, wellbeing, training, education, substance‑misuse and community resources.
- Collaborate with peer mentors, volunteers and external agencies to achieve outcomes.
- Maintain accurate case records and follow safeguarding and risk‑management procedures.
- Work towards individual and team performance targets and contribute to continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Empathetic, resilient and committed to supporting positive life changes.
- Experience in probation, social care, prison settings, rehabilitation, substance‑misuse, mental health, housing or community outreach is desirable.
- Recent graduates with an interest in the criminal‑justice sector are also encouraged to apply.
