Experienced Architectural Technician/ Technologist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician/Technologist to join our multidisciplinary consultancy in Preston. The successful candidate will develop detailed technical designs from concept through construction, supporting a range of sectors including healthcare, education, commercial and residential.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction information using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Develop technical design solutions from concept through to construction stages.
• Prepare planning, Building Regulations and tender documentation.
• Coordinate design information with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors and clients.
• Support BIM coordination and ensure project information is accurate, consistent and compliant.
• Attend design meetings, client meetings and site visits throughout project delivery.
• Resolve technical design challenges and provide practical construction solutions.
• Ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, industry standards and best practice.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an architectural technician or technologist.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
• Willingness to take ownership of projects and develop long‑term career within the consultancy.
