Experienced Bookkeeper – Full‑time, Loughton

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established accountancy practice in Loughton to find an experienced Bookkeeper. You will join a supportive team, handling a diverse client portfolio and delivering high‑quality bookkeeping and financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping for multiple clients across various industries.
• Process purchase and sales ledgers accurately and efficiently.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Assist with month‑end reporting and management accounts preparation.
• Maintain accurate records for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Liaise with clients to resolve queries and ensure smooth financial processes.
• Support accountants and senior team members with ad‑hoc duties.

Required profile

• Previous bookkeeping experience, preferably within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and VAT regulations.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing abilities.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines.
