Experienced Bricklayer – Full‑time On‑site

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, on‑site Bricklayer to join our team in Preston. You will be responsible for constructing and repairing brickwork on residential and commercial projects, ensuring high‑quality finishes and compliance with plans.

Key responsibilities

• Set out work areas and interpret construction drawings and site instructions.
• Mix and apply mortar, lay bricks and blocks to line and level, and perform finishing tasks such as pointing and cleaning.
• Build and repair walls, partitions, chimneys and related structures.
• Work safely on scaffolding and coordinate with other trades on site.
• Maintain tools and equipment, keep the work area tidy, and adhere to health and safety procedures.
• Meet agreed quality standards and support the team in meeting project deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven bricklaying experience, including setting out, laying bricks/blocks and high‑standard finishing.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, measurements and site instructions.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites.
• Physical ability to perform manual labour, work at height and handle materials throughout the day.
• Reliable timekeeping, attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a site team.
• Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in bricklaying or masonry (or equivalent experience).
• CSCS card or willingness to obtain one; a valid driver’s licence is an advantage.
