Experienced Carpenter – Residential Repairs

About the role

Join Sovereign Network Group’s Property Team in Basingstoke as an experienced carpenter. You will work on a variety of residential repair projects, helping to maintain over 85,000 homes across the South East.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out 1st‑fix and 2nd‑fix carpentry repairs in housing properties.
• Install and service windows, doors, and door frames (internal and external).
• Perform UPVC servicing and installation.
• Provide locksmithing services, including lock snapping, drilling and picking.
• Install and maintain all types of fencing (posts, feather‑edge, chain‑link, panels).
• Fit kitchens, build kitchen units and undertake minor joinery tasks.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in a residential or housing carpentry role.
• Minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification or at least 5 years proven carpentry experience.
• Strong health‑and‑safety awareness.
• Full, current UK driving licence with at least 1 year driving experience.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week and take call‑outs/overtime.
