Experienced CNC Milling Machinist – Precision Components

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join our client’s production team in Portsmouth. The role focuses on machining precision components using CNC and manual mills, delivering high-quality parts on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate CNC milling machines with precision.
• Operate manual milling equipment when required.
• Use inspection and measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
• Perform mathematical calculations for measurements and tool offsets.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Suggest improvements to processes, efficiency and product quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience operating CNC mills.
• Proficiency in manual milling techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC or manual lathes is advantageous.
