Experienced CNC Turner – Precision Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking skilled CNC Turners to join a well‑established precision manufacturing business on the outskirts of Bristol. The role involves setting up, operating and, where possible, online programming of CNC turning machines in a high‑precision environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning (and optionally milling) machines.
• Perform online programming using Fanuc controls.
• Run multi‑axis and twin‑spindle turning machines.
• Read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Carry out tool changes, offsets and basic fault finding.
• Adhere to shift patterns, including double‑day schedules.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating CNC turning equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Willingness to work precise tolerances and follow safety procedures.
• Flexibility to work morning or afternoon double‑day shifts.

Required skills

• CNC turning operation
• CNC milling operation (preferred)
• Fanuc control programming
• Multi‑axis / twin‑spindle machine handling
• Tool changes and offset setting
• Basic fault finding
• Experience with Citizen Miyano machines (advantageous)
