Experienced HGV Technician – 4 on 4 off Shift

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle (HGV) Technician to join a leading main dealer in Liverpool. The role works a 4‑on‑4‑off day shift from 6 am to 6 pm, offering a balanced schedule and competitive pay. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and diagnosing a wide range of heavy vehicles, including HGVs, buses and coaches.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs and complex diagnostics on commercial vehicles.
• Identify faults, conduct testing and ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
• Complete accurate repair documentation and service records.
• Collaborate with the workshop team and report progress to the shift supervisor.
• Uphold high standards of safety, quality and efficiency in all tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician in a main‑dealer environment.
• Level 2 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (City & Guilds or NVQ).
• Current IRTEC accreditation.
• Proven experience working on HGVs, buses or coaches.
• Strong diagnostic ability and attention to detail.
