Experienced Plasterer – Full‑time, South East England

About the role

Join the Property Team at Sovereign Network Group as an experienced plasterer, working across the Newbury & Reading locality. You will be part of the Responsive Repairs Team, travelling to residential properties to deliver high‑quality plastering and repair work while using a company van and fuel card.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out all forms of plastering repairs in residential properties.
• Apply and finish acoustic, insulating and fire‑proofing materials.
• Prepare and secure corner beads, pre‑cast cornices, panel mouldings, coving and other plaster fittings.
• Determine plasterboard layout, install insulation and vapour barriers, and fix plasterboard to walls, ceilings and battens.
• Mix and apply coats of plaster, cement and render, using trowels, wet brushes and sandpaper to achieve uniform finishes.
• Cover joins, nail holes and seams with wet plaster and sealing compounds.

Required profile

• Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 or a minimum of 5 years proven plastering experience.
• Previous experience in residential or housing sector preferred.
• Strong health‑and‑safety mindset and knowledge of best practices.
• Full, current driving licence with at least one year driving experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team and travel between sites.
