Experienced Roofer – Full‑Time, Aylesbury

About the role

Fairhive Homes is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly roofer to join its Property Services team in Aylesbury. You will use your trade expertise to improve the homes of our residents, working alongside other skilled tradespeople and supportive administrative staff.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect occupied and vacant properties to assess repair, maintenance or installation needs.
• Diagnose faults, carry out cost‑effective repairs and record details on a handheld PDA.
• Perform flat and pitched roofing, guttering, roof surface, flashing and leadwork repairs.
• Repair or replace tiles/slates and install flat‑roofing systems (felt, asphalt, cold‑process, torch‑on, ply membranes).
• Clean and repair gutters, maintain heat tape and apply protective roof coatings.
• Undertake basic brickwork, repointing, man‑hole cover changes, render repairs, concrete patching and paving.
• Conduct cavity‑wall inspections and install loft insulation.
• Participate in an emergency call‑out rota outside normal hours.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 Roofing qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Basic IT competence.
