Experienced Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the SEN department of a vibrant secondary school in Hampton. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to work within a supportive, large team focused on student progress and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Support SEND students to access learning and achieve their potential.
• Encourage engagement, confidence, and independence in the classroom.
• Collaborate with teachers to deliver learning support across various subjects.
• Assist with small‑group and one‑to‑one interventions.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Support behaviour management strategies and promote positive outcomes.

Required profile

• Passionate about supporting young people and making a positive difference.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, proactive, and committed to student progress.
• Team‑oriented and able to work well with colleagues.
• Experience with young people or SEND students (desirable but not essential).
