About the role
Our client, a well‑established freight forwarder, is looking to hire an Export Clerk based in their Basildon, Essex office. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating export shipments across air, ocean and road, delivering a high standard of customer service from quotation through to delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate air, ocean and road export shipments from start to finish.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout the export process.
- Handle shipments from quotation to delivery, ensuring smooth execution.
- Ensure all required documents are present for customs clearance.
- Keep customers updated on shipment status throughout the process.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of export experience.
- Experience in air, ocean or road freight handling.
- Customs clearance training or prior experience.
- Effective communicator with colleagues, clients and suppliers.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
