Export Clerk

About the role

We are seeking an Export Clerk to join our freight forwarding team in Egham. The role supports the China export team and manages documentation and shipment processes for exports to China and Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Upload and maintain all export emails, documents and records in Boxtop for audit readiness.
• Arrange collection of UK shipments for export to China and Nigeria through designated hauliers, ensuring correct paperwork.
• Coordinate with the warehouse on direct deliveries from UK suppliers and third‑party couriers.
• Handle transhipments for Nigeria and process export entries using CDS/Sequoia systems.
• Ensure shipments are completed accurately and on time, and that invoicing is issued correctly.
• Mentor and train staff on export procedures and maintain compliance with AEO and other regulations.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time‑management, organisational and negotiation abilities.
• Flexibility, adaptability and a proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Boxtop document management.
• Experience using CDS and Sequoia export entry systems.
• Solid IT literacy.
