Export Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an organised and detail‑oriented Export Coordinator to join a leading manufacturing business with a strong international customer base. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of goods to overseas customers, handling export documentation and providing excellent customer service throughout the order‑to‑delivery process.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate export shipments from order receipt through to final delivery.
• Prepare and manage all export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and customs paperwork.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, hauliers, customs brokers and overseas customers.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve any delivery issues.
• Ensure compliance with import/export legislation, customs requirements and Incoterms.
• Maintain accurate records within ERP and transport management systems.
• Collaborate with customer service, planning, warehousing and sales teams to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Provide customers with updates on shipment status and delivery schedules.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across export and logistics processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Export Coordinator, Export Administrator, Logistics Coordinator, Shipping Coordinator or similar role.
• Knowledge of export documentation, customs procedures and Incoterms.
• Experience liaising with freight forwarders and logistics providers.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems.
