Export Sales & Logistics Co‑ordinator

About the role

Join a leading UK wholesale distributor as an Export Sales & Logistics Co‑ordinator in Basildon. You will support offshore accounts, work closely with field‑based Account Managers, and ensure smooth export operations from order entry to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of offshore accounts, acting as the primary contact for day‑to‑day enquiries.
• Provide sales and administrative support to field‑based Account Managers.
• Prepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Process orders and manage dispatch efficiently and accurately.
• Handle sample requests and customer bookings via phone and email.
• Maintain back‑orders and keep customers updated on shipment progress.
• Set up new accounts and delivery keys in internal systems.
• Create orders from spreadsheets and emails, liaising with internal departments.
• Book direct containers, coordinate deliveries, and process driver paperwork.
• Support the Team Leader and other Sales Office team members.

Required profile

• Previous experience in export, logistics, sales support or coordination.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Confident written and verbal communication.
• Experience of order processing and customer account management.
• Proactive, team‑focused approach with attention to detail.
• Experience with shipping documentation and export compliance is advantageous.
• German or French language skills are beneficial but not essential.
