External Reporting Manager

About the role

We are seeking an External Reporting Manager to join a long‑standing client in the insurance sector. The role offers a six‑figure package and will be based in London, working closely with finance teams and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit UK legal entity reports and regulatory returns.
• Oversee and manage group consolidations across the organisation.
• Coordinate with wider finance teams on reporting engagements.
• Support and contribute to planned and ongoing finance projects.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience in the insurance sector.
• Strong technical accounting background with solid reporting experience.
• Mentoring abilities and experience managing external auditor relationships.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP; US GAAP experience is an advantage.
• Audit training and excellent Excel and systems proficiency are desirable.
