External Sales Engineer – Fluid Power

About the role

We are looking for an External Sales Engineer with specialist knowledge in fluid power to support our South West England region. You will act as the technical bridge between our branch network and customers, driving growth across hydraulics, pneumatics, filtration and process valve solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
• Provide expert technical advice and support to customers on fluid power products.
• Diagnose and resolve technical challenges in the field.
• Collaborate closely with branch colleagues to deliver seamless service.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure.

Required profile

• Strong fluid power expertise with solid technical knowledge.
• Experience in an engineering or technical environment.
• Customer‑focused with a commitment to high service levels.
• Proven ability to sell across the full sales cycle.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn.
• Competent in Microsoft Office with good communication and numerical skills.
