External Sales Executive – Air Cargo

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading air cargo and logistics business for an ambitious External Sales Executive. This role offers the chance to work directly with new and existing customers, delivering tailored logistics solutions across the UK and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with new and existing customers to understand their requirements and propose customised logistics solutions.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through market research, networking and prospecting.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and service agreements with clients.
• Build, maintain and grow long‑term customer relationships.
• Provide regular sales reports, forecasts and market insights to management.
• Manage customer queries efficiently, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
• Attend industry events, trade shows and client meetings to promote the business.
• Travel occasionally within the UK and internationally as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in sales or business development, preferably within logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Commercially minded with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
• Self‑motivated, driven and target‑oriented.
• Full UK driving licence.
