Extra Care Area Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care across six Extra Care services in Brent and Harrow. You will ensure compliance with CQC standards, drive service improvements and support a vibrant, inclusive environment for older adults.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contracts and ensure full CQC compliance.
• Oversee quality assurance, monitoring and continuous service improvement.
• Develop and deliver varied activities that enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Produce regular KPI reports and analyse performance data.
• Lead performance management for Registered Managers and senior staff.
• Recruit, select, and manage staff, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Investigate and resolve complaints, concerns and suggestions.
• Assess and allocate new service users.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local authorities, housing providers and other agencies.

Required profile

• Relevant health or social care qualification.
• Minimum 4 years supervisory/management experience in health or social care for older people.
• Strong knowledge of dementia and common health‑related needs (beneficial).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage contracts and drive quality outcomes.
