Extra Care Team Manager

About the role

We are looking for a warm, compassionate and proactive leader to manage a small extra‑care service of 13 one‑bedroom flats in Hoxton. The role combines operational oversight with person‑centred support, ensuring high‑quality care for service users while fostering independence and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the extra‑care service, ensuring compliance with social services standards.
• Coordinate with families, friends and external agencies to create a supportive environment.
• Deliver dignified personal care and assist with domestic tasks as needed.
• Support individuals in accessing work, education and social opportunities.
• Lead, mentor and develop a diverse team of over 100 staff across the organisation.

Required profile

• Previous practitioner or management experience in services for older people, dementia or memory loss.
• Professional qualification such as a Diploma in Social Work, RMN/RGN, NVQ Level 4/5, or a relevant degree/post‑graduate qualification.
• Strong commitment to person‑centred, respectful care.
• Flexibility, energy and reliability.
