EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Early Years Support

About the role

We are seeking caring and proactive EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support young children in South Croydon schools from September. The role focuses on delivering targeted 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils in Nursery and the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small‑group assistance for pupils with mild to moderate SEND.
• Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to monitor pupil progress and well‑being.
• Assist in preparing learning resources and classroom activities.

Required profile

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Recent experience in a UK primary school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, especially in a 1:1 capacity.
• Strong communication, patience and adaptability.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SLD, etc.).

What we offer

• Daily rate of £93 for candidates with 3 months experience.
• Daily rate of £100 for candidates with a Level 3 qualification and over 12 months SEND experience.
