EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Full‑time/Part‑time)

About the role

The role supports pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) across nursery and reception classes in Lambeth. You will work alongside teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored 1:1 or small‑group support for children with mild to moderate SEND.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted 1:1 or small‑group assistance to EYFS pupils.
• Support children with mild to moderate SEND to access the curriculum.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to monitor pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Prepare learning resources and support classroom activities.

Required profile

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Recent experience in a UK primary school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, preferably in a 1:1 capacity.
• Strong communication, patience and adaptability.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

What we offer

• Daily rate of £93 for candidates with 3 months experience, rising to £100 for those with a Level 3 qualification and over 12 months SEND experience.
