EYFS Supply Teacher – Tonbridge Primary Schools

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with several primary schools in Tonbridge to recruit passionate EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) teachers on a supply basis. The role is full‑time, can start immediately and offers both long‑term and day‑to‑day supply opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging EYFS curriculum that supports children’s academic, social and emotional development.
• Create inclusive, child‑centred learning environments that encourage curiosity and confidence.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting to senior staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external partners to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
• Uphold health, safety and safeguarding standards within the classroom.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.
• Proven experience teaching within the EYFS.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
• Enthusiasm, creativity and patience for early childhood education.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and its statutory requirements.
• Lesson planning and curriculum design for early years.
• Classroom management and behaviour guidance.
• Assessment and progress tracking techniques.
• Effective communication with children, families and colleagues.
