EYFS Teaching Assistant – Supply (Leeds)

About the role

Randstad Education is seeking enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistants to provide flexible, short‑term support to primary schools across Leeds. You will work directly with classroom teachers to deliver a high‑quality early learning experience for young children.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering the EYFS curriculum and daily routines.
• Support phonics and early reading activities using programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle.
• Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to children as needed.
• Follow safeguarding policies and report any concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum six months recent experience as an EYFS Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school or nursery.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Randstad.
• Full right to work in the United Kingdom.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Familiarity with phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle.
