Fabricator Welder – Full-time in St Helens

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder to join a well‑established engineering business in St Helens. The role involves welding aluminium, copper and steel using MIG and TIG processes, fabricating components from technical drawings and maintaining a safe workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminium, copper and steel.
• Fabricate steel components and weld assemblies according to engineering drawings.
• Operate hand tools and workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven MIG welding experience on aluminium or stainless steel.
• Ability to read and work from technical engineering drawings.
• Relevant qualification such as C&G/NVQ in Fabrication and Welding (advantageous).
• CSCS/CCNSG card and full driving licence (advantageous).

What we offer

• £17.62 per hour (overtime at 1.5× basic on weekdays, 2× on Saturday PM and Sundays).
• 38‑hour week – Mon‑Thu 8:00‑16:30, Fri 8:00‑14:00.
