Fabricator/Welder – Precision Metal Work

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join a fast‑growing manufacturer in Pontefract. You will work in a dedicated workshop, turning engineering drawings into high‑quality metal components and structures.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
• Fabricate and construct metal components from mild steel, Zintec and galvanised sheet.
• Grind, finish and perform quality checks on completed products.
• Ensure compliance with company health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a metal fabricator and welder.
• Hands‑on experience with mild steel, Zintec and galvanised sheet (0.9 mm‑30 mm).
• Strong mathematical and engineering aptitude.
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre large metal objects.
• Proficiency with metal fabrication tools.
