Facade Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Facade Consultant to join a leading building consultancy in Henley‑on‑Thames. The role involves ensuring façade designs meet UK building regulations, producing compliance reports and supporting clients through the Building Safety Regulator process.

Key responsibilities

• Produce façade compliance reports aligned with current regulations and industry standards.
• Review design information and drawings for RIBA Stages 3, 4 and 5, checking technical accuracy and compliance.
• Assist clients with Building Safety Regulator (BSR) submissions and Gateway requirements.
• Assess façade systems against legislation, guidance and performance criteria, identifying risks and recommending solutions.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, developers and other consultants throughout project delivery.
• Participate in design meetings, providing technical input on façade design and regulatory issues.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Facade Consultant, Façade Engineer or in a similar façade design/compliance role.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and façade construction methods.
• Demonstrated ability to produce compliance reports and review technical documentation.
• Familiarity with RIBA Stage 3‑5 deliverables and Building Safety Regulator processes.
• Excellent written communication and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively.
