Facade Design Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Facade Design Manager to lead the design, coordination and delivery of façade and recladding projects, with a focus on fire remediation and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed façade design drawings for rainscreen cladding, external wall insulation (EWI) render, brick slip, structural framing systems and remedial recladding details.
• Develop construction details that meet current regulations and fire‑safety requirements.
• Ensure façade build‑ups satisfy performance, structural and fire‑safety criteria.
• Coordinate design information with architects, structural engineers and fire consultants.
• Maintain drawing issue registers and comprehensive design documentation.
• Design replacement external wall systems for recladding schemes and interpret fire risk assessment reports.
• Liaise with procurement, external consultants, fire engineers and building control bodies.
• Collaborate with project managers and EK Group divisions (Glazing and Roofing) to align design with programme and commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience on recladding projects and knowledge of Building Safety Regulator (BSR) requirements and Gateway planning submissions.
• Strong technical background in façade systems and fire remediation.
• Ability to produce accurate, buildable design documentation.
• Excellent coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
