Facade Designer – Fire Remediation & Recladding

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Façade Designer to join our growing design team within a principal contractor specialising in façade and cladding remediation. The role focuses on fire remediation, regulatory compliance and the delivery of recladding schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, coordinate and deliver façade and recladding projects, ensuring compliance with fire safety and building regulations.
• Prepare and support Gateway 2 and Gateway 3 submissions for Building Safety Regulator requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Procurement, external consultants, fire engineers and Building Control bodies.
• Maintain alignment of façade systems with programme and commercial objectives.
• Interface with other business divisions to ensure effective project coordination.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Facade Designer within a façade subcontractor environment.
• Demonstrable experience on recladding schemes (essential).
• Experience dealing with Building Safety Regulator (BSR) requirements and fire remediation.
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and external wall compliance.
• Technical knowledge of rainscreen cladding, EWI, brick slip and structural framing systems.
