Facilities and Compliance Manager (Bristol)

About the role

We are seeking a Facilities and Compliance Manager to oversee the safety and operational standards of a large manufacturing site and its head office in Bristol. You will work closely with senior management to ensure all statutory and internal compliance requirements are met while driving continuous improvement across the facilities portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain site compliance for fire systems, LOLER, PSSR, Legionella, electrical safety and other statutory requirements.
• Support the Facilities Manager in up‑holding health and safety standards.
• Manage both planned maintenance and reactive works across the manufacturing site and head office.
• Lead improvement projects from concept through to completion, focusing on compliance and modernisation.
• Oversee a full‑time on‑site contractor providing compliance support and coordinate additional contractor activities.
• Monitor and control the Facilities and Compliance budget.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to safety with a proactive mindset; IOSH Managing Safely and CDM 2017 training desirable.
• Proven experience managing statutory inspections such as LOLER, Legionella, LEV, asbestos and life‑safety systems.
• Effective maintenance planning and the ability to build strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
• Experience in budget management, procurement and financial planning.
• Demonstrated project‑management capability delivering work on time and within budget.
