Facilities Coordinator (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join a public sector organisation’s Facilities Management team on a temporary basis. Based in Kendal, you will help deliver safe, compliant and customer‑focused workplace environments across a diverse property portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day delivery of facilities management services across multiple properties.
• Maintain a safe, secure, clean and compliant workplace for all building users.
• Build strong relationships with internal customers and provide guidance on facilities matters.
• Assist with communication and engagement initiatives related to building improvements and organisational change.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance works, liaising with contractors and service providers.
• Maintain building standards, records, procedures and compliance documentation.
• Support fire evacuation procedures, health and safety requirements, and display relevant information.
• Manage facilities management systems, room bookings, access control requests and user enquiries.
• Contribute to workplace improvement, transformation and sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience supporting facilities management activities in a multi‑site environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors and service providers.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to health, safety and compliance requirements.
• Willingness to travel across the wider region when needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with facilities management software or systems.
• Knowledge of access control and room‑booking platforms.
• Understanding of fire safety and health‑and‑safety procedures.
