Facilities Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Facilities Engineer to join a leading engineering organisation supporting construction, refurbishment and asset management projects within a busy manufacturing environment. The role involves delivering facilities projects, maintaining asset information in a CMMS and ensuring reliable operation of plant and building services.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain project documentation for construction and refurbishment works.
• Develop and schedule planned maintenance activities.
• Review technical manuals and engineering drawings.
• Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings to support project delivery.
• Manage asset data within a Computerised Maintenance Management System.

Required profile

• Background in Facilities, Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical or Construction Engineering.
• Experience with industrial asset maintenance or maintenance planning.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• HNC/HND or degree in an engineering or facilities‑related discipline.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (2D/3D).
• Experience using CMMS or asset management systems (e.g., IBM TRIRIGA).

What we offer

• Salary £40,000 – £45,000 per year.
• Permanent contract with a four‑day working week (Monday‑Thursday).
• Location in Ampthill, Bedfordshire.
• Eligibility to work in the UK required.
