Facilities Engineer

About the role

The Facilities Engineer will support the delivery of facilities, construction and refurbishment projects while ensuring that building assets are effectively managed, maintained and compliant with statutory requirements. This role blends project support, asset management, maintenance planning and CAD design to keep site operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of facilities, construction and refurbishment projects, including briefs, budgets and schedules.
• Develop and maintain planned maintenance schedules based on asset information and O&M manuals.
• Keep asset records and maintenance data up‑to‑date in the IBM TRIRIGA CMMS.
• Create and revise 2D and 3D CAD drawings to support project and facilities activities.
• Support project costing, basis of estimates and proposal development.
• Ensure all facilities assets and activities meet relevant statutory and regulatory standards.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers to facilitate project and maintenance work.

Required profile

• Background in facilities, building services, mechanical, electrical or construction engineering.
• Experience in industrial asset maintenance, engineering, or planning.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, project plans and engineering documentation.
• HNC/HND or degree in Facilities Engineering, Building Services, Engineering or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (2D/3D).
• Experience using IBM TRIRIGA or a similar CMMS.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.

• Salary range £40,000‑£45,000 per year.
• 37.5‑hour week with every other Friday off.
