Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will lead day‑to‑day maintenance activities at a fast‑moving food logistics depot in Bicester. You will ensure the site remains safe, compliant and fully operational while supporting production equipment and building services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily facilities maintenance across the depot, maintaining safety and compliance.
• Perform general handyman duties, including basic repairs, painting, decorating and proactive issue identification.
• Coordinate external contractors to deliver work safely, on time and to required standards.
• Support refrigeration, air‑conditioning, loading‑bay and shutter‑door upkeep, and troubleshoot basic faults.
• Maintain fire and security systems, including fire alarms, CCTV and emergency lighting routines.
• Carry out compliance checks such as Legionella, water hygiene, gas and electrical safety (PAT, FWT) and assist with H&S risk assessments.

Required profile

• Proven maintenance experience in a similar supervisory role.
• Engineering qualifications, preferably F‑Gas certified.
• Strong health‑and‑safety knowledge and ability to support compliance documentation.
• Experience managing contractors and juggling multiple maintenance priorities.
• Basic electrical and plumbing awareness with a proactive, reliable attitude.
