Facilities Manager – Fixed‑Term (12 months)

About the role

We are seeking an organised Facilities Manager to join a global manufacturing and laboratory organisation on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role will support day‑to‑day site operations, oversee maintenance activities and drive continuous improvement across office, laboratory, warehouse and production areas.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily facilities operations across office, laboratory, warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Manage planned and reactive maintenance to keep the site safe, compliant and fully operational.
• Oversee external contractors and suppliers, monitoring performance against service level agreements.
• Support facilities projects from planning through to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets and objectives are met.
• Maintain health & safety documentation, risk assessments, permits and contractor paperwork.
• Administer site security and access‑control systems.
• Assist with utilities management, including energy, water and office services.
• Help manage the facilities budget, invoice processing and cost monitoring.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities management, coordination or workplace services.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers and maintenance programmes.
• Strong organisational and project‑coordination abilities with the capacity to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive, solution‑focused attitude with a commitment to health and safety compliance.
