Facilities Manager

About the role

Talent Guardian is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Facilities Manager to oversee three sites in Poole. Working closely with Operations Managers, the Head of ESG and the QSHE Manager, you will ensure that all buildings, equipment and services are managed safely, efficiently and cost‑effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule across all sites.
• Coordinate timely maintenance and repairs for plant and equipment.
• Maintain facilities information, approved contractors and records within the Safety Culture system.
• Source, negotiate and manage contractors and suppliers for maintenance, repairs, renovations, waste disposal and security.
• Oversee new facilities projects and improvements to existing sites.
• Raise purchase orders, verify invoices and ensure accurate payment processing.
• Control facilities budgets, monitor expenditure and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Forecast future facilities requirements and develop efficiency strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, security and facilities procedures, including ISO 14001:2015 waste controls.
• Support ESG initiatives and sustainability projects.

Required profile

• Proven facilities management experience with practical trade skills.
• Ability to resolve day‑to‑day maintenance issues independently.
• Experience managing PPM schedules, contractors and suppliers.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements in a facilities context.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and costs.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset focused on creating a safe and well‑maintained working environment.
