Facilities Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Facilities Manager to take ownership of day‑to‑day facilities and engineering operations for a fast‑growing technology organisation. The role is full‑time, onsite in Kidlington, with occasional on‑call duties paid at an additional rate.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily facilities operations across the site, ensuring hard and soft FM services run smoothly.
• Take ownership of hard services delivery, including mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems and planned maintenance programmes.
• Oversee statutory compliance, health & safety, and building‑related audits.
• Administer service contracts and external suppliers to maintain high performance.
• Support capital projects, refurbishments and workplace improvement initiatives.
• Monitor facilities budgets and identify cost‑efficiency opportunities.
• Ensure building systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
• Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and drive a proactive maintenance culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Facilities Manager, Engineering Manager, Technical Services Manager or similar.
• Strong background in hard services with an electrical or mechanical engineering qualification.
• Demonstrated ability to manage M&E systems, contractors and compliance programmes.
• Hands‑on, proactive attitude with a track record of identifying issues and implementing solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
